Artist Jo Gray
Jo is an award-winning artist and British Art Prize finalist. She has exhibited and sold work at prestigious venues including the Mall Galleries and the London Art Biennale, and received the Princess Michael of Kent Award at the Society of Women Artists exhibition.
Based in Nottingham, Jo studied graphic design and illustration at Central Saint Martins before beginning her career as a mural artist, creating artworks for theme parks, sports centres, and private clients. Today, she focuses on her true passion: animal portraiture. Working in acrylics, Jo builds layers of paint and glazes to create lifelike fur and expressive detail.
Her paintings range from vibrant, colourful settings to more neutral, understated backdrops each capturing the personality and presence of her subjects. Jo is represented by George Thornton Art.
